Balance point

Where a paddle balances along its length. Head-heavy means free power; head-light means fast hands.

Balance the paddle on your finger. Where it sits is the balance point, measured from the butt cap. High. Head-heavy — gives you plow-through and free power on drives, but your hands pay for it in a firefight. Low — head-light. Whips through the kitchen, but you supply all the pace yourself.

Lead tape moves the balance point exactly where you put it. That is why customization starts here, not with a new paddle.
