Body Bag
Hitting an opponent with the ball, usually at close range. Legal. But the etiquette around it is complicated.
To "body bag" someone is to hit them with the ball. Usually a hard drive at the torso when they are crowding the kitchen line. It stings. Physically and otherwise.
It is fully legal: there is no rule against hitting your opponent. In competitive play, targeting the body is legit strategy. A ball at the chest is hard to return cleanly, and it pushes aggressive net players back off the line.
The etiquette is where it gets complicated. In rec play, repeatedly picking on weaker players is poor form. In tournaments, it is fair game. Either way, raise a hand after. A quick sorry or a paddle tap keeps things civil. Aiming at the head is never okay.
