Paddle shapes
Standard, elongated, hybrid, widebody. Shape trades reach and power against sweet-spot size and forgiveness.
Standard (~16" × 8"): balanced everything, the default recommendation. Elongated (~16.5" × 7.5"): reach, leverage, and power. At the cost of twist weight and sweet-spot width. Former tennis players usually land here. Hybrid: splits the difference, typically a slightly shortened elongated outline. Widebody (8.25"+ wide): maximum forgiveness and the biggest sweet spot, less reach. Blade: long handle, narrow face. Niche, but two-handers love it.
Shape interacts with everything else on the spec sheet. A widebody with high twist weight is the forgiveness cheat code.
