Twist weight
How much the face resists twisting on off-center hits. The number behind "forgiveness."
Twist weight measures how much the face resists twisting on off-center hits, in kg·cm². Catch the ball an inch toward the heel or toe: a high-twist-weight paddle holds the face stable and keeps the ball on line. A low one rotates and sprays the shot. It is the spec reviewers link most strongly with forgiveness.
Widebodies score well here naturally. Elongated paddles used to struggle until foam-perimeter and full-foam cores pushed twist weights up across the 2025–2026 designs. If a brand will not publish twist weight, we note the absence and lean on reviewer forgiveness reports instead.
