The sweet spot is where a mishit still plays like a good hit. Its size comes mostly from twist weight and construction: foam-perimeter and full-foam cores have genuinely bigger sweet spots than the old honeycomb designs.
Marketing loves this term. The difference between paddles is real. But smaller than the brochures suggest. In our synthesis we score forgiveness from reviewer reports of heel, toe, and high-face contact, because that is where sweet-spot claims actually get tested.
