Thrive Ignite Arc Review

Consensus score · provisional
Thrive calls the Arc the Super Hybrid, and the name earns it. It is the Ignite Elongated with the top corners trimmed: same Gen 4 foam platform, same firepower, but a 113 swing weight and the fastest hands in the entire Ignite lineup. The silhouette borrows from the JOOLA Hyperion playbook, rounded up top for whip instead of plow. The catch is coverage. Two independent labs have measured it, but no outlet has published a full scored review yet, so the 88 below is provisional. What the data says so far is genuinely exciting.

Provisional score 88/100 (Excellent) — aggregated Nov 2026 from two independent labs and early expert coverage; no full scored review exists yet, so this score will be finalized when longer-term testing lands — how we rank.
The consensus verdict
Best for
Doubles players who want elongated reach without giving up their hands. If you like hybrid quickness but keep wishing for more leverage on drives and overheads, this is your shape.
Not for
Players who buy only on long-term review consensus. The lab numbers are strong, but nobody has published months of play testing on the Arc yet.
Provisional 88/100 · Excellent
Built from Johnkew's lab data (KewCOR 0.422, firepower 83/100, 2,321 RPM elite spin, 113.2 swing weight, hand speed 61/100), Pickleball Effect's database measurements (swing 113, twist 6.33, Tier 2 grit), and measured first-impressions coverage calling it the better doubles paddle of the two new shapes. Provisional because no outlet has published a full scored review yet.

What reviewers agree on
Strengths
- The fastest hands in the Ignite line. Hand speed scores 61 out of 100, against 59 for the Hybrid and 39 for the flat-top Elongated. The trimmed top corners do exactly what they are supposed to do. T-t-t-today, junior.
- Full firepower, no penalty. KewCOR 0.422 with a firepower score of 83/100, a hair above the Elongated's 82. Trimming the corners did not cost meaningful power, which is the whole bet of this shape.
- Elite spin, verified twice. 2,321 RPM in one lab's testing, in the elite category. The Clear Fusion grit is the same durable coating as the rest of the line, rated above raw-carbon averages for wear.
- The doubles pick of the two new shapes. The reviewer who measured both new Ignites at launch called the Arc the better doubles paddle: it gets its offense from hand speed and leverage instead of mass, which is what you want in fast exchanges.
Weaknesses & caveats
- No full review exists yet. The honest headline: two labs measured it, one expert covered it at launch, and that is the entire independent record. The 88 is provisional until real long-term testing shows up.
- Smaller sweet spot than the Elongated. The trimmed corners buy hand speed with forgiveness. The flat-top Elongated keeps the bigger sweet spot, and the Hybrid is more forgiving still.
- Same swing-to-unlock power curve. Like the rest of the Ignite line, the power activates with swing speed. Compact-swing players will not get free pace here.

Ignite Arc FAQs
Ignite Arc or Ignite Elongated?
The Arc is faster (hand speed 61 vs 39) with nearly identical firepower. The Elongated keeps a bigger sweet spot and a touch more drive velocity. Doubles hand-battlers take the Arc; baseline drivers take the Elongated.
Why is this score provisional?
No outlet has published a full scored review of the Arc yet. The 88 rests on lab measurements and early expert coverage, not long-term play testing. We will finalize it when full reviews land.
Is the Ignite Arc USAP approved?
Yes. Thrive lists it as USA Pickleball approved and PbCor43 certified, with the marking printed on the face.
